Farewell to Claire and John
After 17 years bringing up Country Lodge, Claire and John have finally left the nest. At a lovely, if somewhat sad, informal drinks they -and we- said our farewells. Room service – Birthday cake!
Being in bed doesn’t mean you have to miss out on your special day as Brenda found out. Our cake fairy Pauline will find you wherever you are …here at Country lodge, we like to make sure residents have their cake – and a nice bunch of flowers.
Pat celebrates in style
There was much merriment as Pat celebrated her 93rd birthday with a yellow birthday cake baked in house by Pauline and pink champagne courtesy of son Martin. Checking out the ivories
Lovely to walk into the home today to hear some beautiful piano playing – local pianist Lucy Goldberg had popped in to check out our piano before coming in to play to the residents next week. Monty the greyhound who was visiting his master Gerry obviously found the music soothing.
