Worthing care home

Spring has well and truly arrived at Country Lodge and our garden is looking particularly beautiful thanks to the hard work of our gardener,Paula Leal. To show off the garden and house and give residents something new and colourful to look at we held our first Art Exhibition aptly named ‘Spring View’. It was a great success with all and the selected local artists Mike Rome, Brenda Brooks, metal sculptor Paul Badham and current Mayor of Worthing, photographer Vic Walker invited friends and colleagues to join residents and their families at the two preview evenings on 19th & 20th March 2015.

Chef Chris Rudrum produced an excellent selection of canapés which were much appreciated and the rooms were dressed with fabulous flowers courtesy of Trish McKinnon of Flower Power. Both evenings went with a swing with guests including Councillors Dougal and Jacqui McConachie of Adur Council, Deputy Mayor Councillor Michael Donin and partner Linda. Chairman of High Salvington Residents Association Mary Meadows and many friends and relatives of Country Lodge residents.  The exhibition ran for 3 weeks and the general consensus was that it was a great idea. Claire is already planning our next event which promises to be something completely different so watch this space.
