Facts about our surrounding areas

The towns and villages that surround Country Lodge are all unique and stunning in their own right.

All of these nearby towns are located to the west of Worthing and are all just a short drive away from us. Similar to Worthing, Littlehampton, Ferring, East Preston and Rustington are all popular seaside towns in West Sussex. Despite them being only small, they’re still very lively towns filled with many beautiful features and plenty of history. There is the old Sussex port in Littlehampton that sits on the River Arun, the Commonwealth war grave that is situated in Ferring, and the WW1 American air base in Rustington.

Our nearby towns and villages all provide excellent transport routes. If you’re driving, you’re only a few minutes away from the A27 dual carriageway, which easily connects various popular locations around the UK, like Brighton, Portsmouth and London. Or if you’d prefer to commute via train, there are many stations in and around Littlehampton and Worthing that connect, or that can take you further afield.

Valuable care and safety

Moving into a new care home can be a big change, even if your loved one has been in one previously. They will have to settle into a new environment, with different people. However, at Country Lodge we put a lot of effort into ensuring that the process is as stress-free as possible.

Daily activities

Taking part in activities is a very important aspect of elderly care. We have a varied programme of activities which include musical entertainment from local musicians and groups, games and quizzes, arts and crafts, and much more. We often have day trips outside of the home to visit the surrounding towns such as Littlehampton.

You can read more about the activities at Country Lodge in our blog here, or keep up to date with what we get up to on our Facebook here.

Beautiful residential rooms

There are various options of accommodation, which means you have the choice of a beautiful room within the main house or a garden room in our new wing with stunning views overlooking the South Downs. Most of our rooms have en-suite bathrooms.

When you arrive at Country Lodge, you will be shown to your room by one of our friendly care staff who will help you arrange your belongings and introduce you to the staff on duty. We encourage our residents to fill their rooms with their own belongings and memories to make a more personalised and comfortable environment.

Family visits

We don’t have any restrictions on visiting hours, which means family are welcome anytime to keep your loved one company. Our chef and kitchen staff are very obliging, so if you’d prefer you can even join us for a meal – or at least a slice of homemade cake that’s made fresh everyday!

“Country Lodge is a lovely nursing home providing excellent care and support to residents with many variable needs and also their families if necessary.
